AT A GLANCE:
Under the guidance of the Aquatic Director, Swim Instructors will plan and organize quality swimming and water safety instruction of the attendees in the classes. This part-time position plays a vital role in the aquatics segment of All Sport. Our swim programs enroll little ones as early as 6 months old as well as adult swimmer programs. Being a Swim Instructor, you’re teaching a life-saving skill, so if you’re ready to make a difference in someone’s life, we want to speak with you!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct group, semi-private, and private swim lessons following All Sport guidelines and procedures.
Ensure the safety of all participants through constant vigilance.
Punctually meet all scheduled class times, fully prepared to teach, including equipment set up.
Plan and organize personal class teaching outlines, methods, and goals that support the general teaching outlines provided by the Aquatics Director and the American Red Cross Swimming Program.
Establish positive public relations with parents/guardians of the by helping them recognize and understand swimming developments and achievements.
Enforce pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.
Maintain facility and equipment to keep a safe, clean environment.
Provide emergency care and treatment as required.
Helps organize and assists in the development of special programs, activities or instruction.
Participate in promoting membership growth and member participation in classes, events, and training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification or equivalent
Current CPR and First Aid Certified
Successful teaching experience.
Meets the physical requirements of the position.
Member service oriented with outstanding communication skills.
Upbeat personality with a warm, friendly demeanor.
