Who is the client I would be working with?
- Our client is a holding company which through its subsidiaries offers accident, property, and other non-life insurance and reinsurance underwriting services. The company was incorporated in 2002 and is based in Alpharetta, Georgia. It operates through two segments, Insurance and Reinsurance. The Insurance segment offers property insurance for commercial buildings, residential premises, construction projects, and onshore energy installations; marine insurance covering offshore energy, cargo, liability, recreational marine, fine art, specie, hull, and war; and terrorism, aviation, credit and political risk, and liability insurance. It also provides professional lines insurance that cover directors' and officers' liability, errors and omissions liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, crime, professional indemnity, cyber and privacy, medical malpractice, and other financial insurance related coverages for commercial enterprises, financial institutions, and not-for-profit organizations. In addition, this segment offers accidental death, travel, and specialty health products for employer and affinity groups, as well as accident and health reinsurance for catastrophic or per life events through wholesale and retail brokers, managing general agents, and underwriters. The Reinsurance segment offers reinsurance to insurance companies, including catastrophe; property reinsurance covering property damage and related losses resulting from natural and man-made perils; professional lines; and credit and surety.
What will I be doing in this role?
- Tasks will cover resolving issues, in partnership with building management, concerning temperature control, lighting, security/building passes, maintenance issues etc.
- Maintain office equipment supplies including photocopiers, ensuring paper is replenished, coffee machines are operational (including a daily clean of each unit), water taps are clean and operational. Report any service issues to the vend
- Maintain health and safety in the office by regularly inspecting the office for potential hazards
- Sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail including overnight packages
- Place orders with suppliers for refreshments and office supplies. Regularly inventory supplies and order as necessary
- Ensure that the Service Now and Facilities team inbox is monitored and respond to requests in a timely manner
- Monitor office regularly to ensure cleanliness. Ensure that the office space, conference rooms, kitchens, stock rooms and collaborative areas are kept in a safe, clean, and tidy manner
- Update space plans regularly in Serraview/Engage
- Provide cover and support, as necessary, to other members of the Workplace Operations team, to ensure a consistently high level of service. Tasks include but are not limited to: answering and transferring all calls, greeting clients and visitors in a polite, profession and courteous manner and to act as a central source of information to deal with general inquiries from staff and visitors
- Ensure that Iron Mountain shred bins are being serviced in a timely manner
- Ensure that AED equipment and first aid kits are regularly maintained and stocked
- Arrange hospitality and catering as requested for events, this may include room setup
