Job Overview:

We are seeking a Symitar PowerOn Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom PowerOn scripts and applications within the Symitar Episys core banking system. The ideal candidate will have experience working in credit unions or financial institutions, with a strong understanding of PowerOn programming, banking operations, and core system integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and maintain PowerOn programs to enhance the functionality of the Symitar Episys core banking system.

• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and implement custom solutions.

• Optimize and troubleshoot existing PowerOn scripts to improve performance and efficiency.

• Integrate third-party applications and APIs with Symitar.

• Maintain documentation for all developed and modified scripts.

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and best practices.

• Provide technical support and training to internal teams on PowerOn functionality.

• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment of new features.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with PowerOn development within the Symitar Episys core banking system.

• Familiarity with credit union operations, banking regulations, and financial systems.

• Experience with SymConnect, SymXchange, or other Symitar APIs.

• Strong SQL skills for querying and managing Symitar databases.

• Understanding of banking processes such as loans, deposits, and transactions.

• Ability to troubleshoot and debug code efficiently.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with third-party integrations for Symitar.

• Knowledge of CIF 20/20 and Symitar workflows.

• Background in financial software development.

• Experience with automation and scripting for process improvements.
