  • Responsibilities

    Syndeo Staffing is searching for the right person to join a family-owned ag-fertilizer supply company as an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This position will be responsible for completing routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings, and building systems to ensure the smooth operations of the onsite facilities and equipment. Their duties include responding to reports of broken or faulty items, conducting routine inspections of buildings and equipment, and liaising with external specialists and contractors. Industrial Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in maintaining the optimal functioning of the infrastructure, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring the safety of all employees and visitors.

    Pay: $16-$18 BOE

    Schedule:

    • The typical schedule will be between 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday

    Responsibilities

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and propose effective solutions.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues before they cause critical failures or interruptions.
    • Manage and keep accurate records of all maintenance activities performed, including maintenance schedules, repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
    • Coordinate and work with external contractors and vendors whenever their services are required.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety protocols, standards, and regulations, proactively identifying and resolving potential hazards or risks that may arise.
    • Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests, prioritize tasks, and address issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent

    • 1-2 years of proven working experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role within a manufacturing environment or equivalent

    • Solid knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment troubleshooting, and repair techniques.

    • Familiarity with various maintenance tools, equipment, and systems (e.g., power tools, voltmeters, plumbing tools, etc.).

    • Sound understanding of safety protocols, regulations, and best practices applicable to industrial maintenance work.

    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.

    • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

    • Good communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to effectively interact with colleagues, contractors, and other stakeholders.

    • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours if emergencies or urgent maintenance needs arise

    • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

    • Proactive attitude and excellent ability to multi-task.

    • Ability to regularly required to stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, walk, for long periods of time.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    • This job operates in a manufacturing environment, with regular exposure to heat and cold along with humid conditions and dust.
