POSITION SUMMARY: The Server Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's server infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of server hardware, operating systems, and network protocols. The Server Administrator will work closely with the IT team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's server environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain database systems including SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL and file-based semi-structured data formats.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high levels of data availability, integrity, and security.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Security: Ensure database security, including user roles, access controls, and encryption.

Education/Experience:
- Prefer bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 or more years of experience as a Server Administrator.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and individually
