    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced System Administrator with deep expertise in Cloud, VDI technologies, and financial applications to join our growing team of 60 professionals. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our IT infrastructure's secure, efficient, and scalable operation, supporting the needs of our traders, portfolio managers, and other staff across a Cloud and VDI environment, and seamlessly integrating with critical financial applications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and support IT infrastructure: Manage both on-premises and cloud-based servers, network devices, desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware and software, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration with financial applications.
    • Implement and manage security protocols: Ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations across the entire IT stack, including cloud environments, VDI deployments, and access to sensitive financial data.
    • Operate and optimize cloud infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage workloads on leading cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) while optimizing costs and resources, with a focus on supporting financial applications.
    • Manage and administer VDI environment: Implement, configure, and maintain a secure and scalable Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution to deliver desktops and financial applications remotely.
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues efficiently, both for on-premises, cloud-based resources, and financial applications.
    • Install and configure software applications: Keep software updated and optimized for performance across all environments, including critical financial applications like Bloomberg, CapIQ, Markit, and Investment Management systems such as Advent Geneva.
    • Provide user support: Assist employees with technical problems related to physical and virtual desktops, cloud applications, network connectivity, and financial applications.
    • Document IT procedures and processes: Create and maintain clear documentation for internal purposes, including specific procedures for cloud, VDI management, and financial application integration.
    • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies: Continuously learn and adapt to new developments in the IT field, focusing on cloud, VDI, and financial technology advancements.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a financial services environment.
    • Strong understanding of server administration, network protocols, security best practices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), VDI technologies, and financial applications like Bloomberg, CapIQ, Markit, and Investment Management systems.
    • Experience with system backup and disaster recovery procedures, including cloud-based backup solutions for financial data.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
