Assembles water treatment systems based on technical drawings and bill of materials.
Assists in specifying components by contacting appropriate vendors at the direction of supervisor.
Coordinates with administrative staff to ensure all components are delivered on time.
Discusses errors in drawings or bill of materials with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
Assembles systems using hand and power tools. Assembly may include, but not be limited to, gluing PVC pipe; fitting both PVC and steel pipe; attaching pumps, motors, vessels and other components with bolts and screws; and mounting conduit, pulling wires, and installing control panels.
Prepares systems for shipment by crating and packing.
Ensures that project is complete timely for QA and shipment.
Travels to client site to assist with installation and startup. Must be able to travel internationally.
Provides technical support to clients after installation and startup.
Ensures that tools are in safe working order and are put away in their appropriate location at the end of each day.
Must meet production schedule deadlines to assure timely shipping to customers. Immediately notifies supervisor if issues arise that do not allow for timely completion.
Must be able to safely and properly use common hand tools in addition to saws, drills, and other power tools and other equipment as required. Must be computer literate.
