    BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) Coordinator. This is a full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.

    As a System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) Coordinator you will be responsible for planning, executing, and validating the installation and upgrades of USN applications. This role ensures all system modifications meet operational requirements through structured testing and verification in compliance with DoD standards and Agile methodologies. The SOVT Coordinator works closely with engineering, cybersecurity, software development, and operational teams to support seamless deployments.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    5+ years of experience in system testing, software deployment, or operational validation within a DoD/Navy environment.

    Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipeline testing.

    Experience with U.S. Navy afloat systems, network architectures, and operational environments.

    Familiarity with DoD RMF compliance and cybersecurity standards.

    Eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance.

    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Proficiency in test automation tools, scripting, and data analysis preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Ability to work in a classified environment and maintain security protocols.

    Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps for data migration enhancements.

    Familiarity with SAGE financial modules and reporting structures.

    Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner) is a plus.

    Work Environment & Conditions:

    May require travel to U.S. Navy vessels and operational sites for system verification and testing.

    Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate afloat schedules and mission-critical deadlines.

    Hybrid work environment with on-site and remote coordination based on project needs.
