    Systems Engineer 

    Clearance Level: Must have an Active Secret Clearance - Must be US Citizen

    About the Role:

    Aquila is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The Systems Engineer will initiate and deploy con?guration management strategies for large- scale build e?orts requiring enterprise-quality support and maintenance e?orts. The engineer is expected to be well versed in various source control and development tool suites and be able to select among them according to project suitability. 

    There are a few requirements for the position:

    • Must be a U.S Citizen- Must have a Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
    • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
    • Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA)

    Must Have:

    Clearance Level: Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
    Degree Level:
    Bachelor's Degree

    • 10 years-AEHF and Milstar Satcom Systems
    • 10 years - Scripting and Task Automation (e.g. server installation, patch management, configuration)
    • 10 years - Programming
    • 10 years - Software Build Scripting (Make/Cmake/Nmake)
    • 10 years - Software
    • 10 years- Automated Test Software
    • 10 years - CMake, IDE, and Unit Testing
    • 7 years - Drupal, Atlassian Applications (Confluence and Jira), eForms
    • 7 years - Software Tools
    • 7 years - Software management tools (Git, GitHub/GitLab, Subversion, TeamForge)
    • 10 years - Configure and Maintain a Number of Linux Systems Utilizing Scripting Languages and Automation Tools
    • 7 years - Experience with DevOps workflows and common CI/CD tools
    • 10 years - Experience working in a UNIX based environment with familiarity of UNIX based scripting
    • 7 years - Solaris 10/11 Administration
    • 7 years - Systems Administration

    Location: This position is predominantly onsite (approx. 80%). There is some Flexibility, but this position requires someone onsite 4 days/wk and on short notice if something arises.

    Clearance Level: This position requires full secret clearance from the start of the assignment.
