The 46th Test Squadron Datalinks Test Flight (46 TS/TGBC) is seeking an experienced System Administrator that will provide support to the 46 Test Squadron, Datalinks Test Lab (DTL) at Eglin AFB.

We realize that few will have all qualifications needed to support the systems under test, but we are looking for people that have a solid Systems Administration foundation, are motivated to learn, and works well with others.
Responsibilities include:
· Maintains Defense Information System Agency (DISA) guidelines on various operating systems as well as USAF security updates and cybersecurity policies and procedures.
· Develops new ideas, researches new technologies and works with a team to modernize enclaves.
· Responsible for the functionality and performance of DTL hardware and software systems.
· Creates and manages system user accounts in accordance with AFMC policies and directives.
· Oversees the installation and configuration of application software, the establishment of user environments; configures servers, clients, and storage hardware while performing operating system upgrades and data backups.
· Develops solutions to complex problems requiring regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
· Uses approved system cloning applications or devices to stand up systems for testing.
· Performs hardware diagnostic testing of offline equipment; performs preventive/corrective maintenance.
· Responds to trouble calls and operational support requests; performs system troubleshooting and workstation maintenance during test and distributed events; diagnose malfunctions and takes corrective action to resolve physical and virtual processing problems.
· Builds network servers and clients utilizing both physical and virtual host environments.
· Identifies areas for improvement and recommends technical solutions; recommends acquisition of new hardware and software to maintain technological currency.
· Attends meetings as necessary to facilitate test planning.
· Supports Developmental, Test, and Evaluation enclave assessment and authorization IAW applicable DoD and AF instructions.

One of the following combinations of education and experience:
US Citizenship required; the ability to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Clearance prior to start date, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance at the completion of the government's process
Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of Security+ or other IAT level 2 certification or higher within 6 months of hire
Current Windows system administration experience, capable of building servers and workstations, able to troubleshoot system hardware and software issues.
Able to travel CONUS/OCONUS 5% of the time is required.
Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted is required.
