Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator/Network Administrator with experience in business technology and a college degree to join our team. As the Systems Administrator/Network Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients computer systems, networks, and equipment are operating at peak performance. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Maintain appropriate certifications as required and outlined by leadership
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments
Install and configure software, and set up hardware
Perform backups
Perform disaster recovery operations
Maintain applications and/or virus protection measures
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software or other network issues
Train colleagues in best practices in technology and how to use software and equipment
Assess security risks and ensure the security of networks and computer systems
Work with users via phone, email, and chat to solve problems or make adjustments and/or improvements
Keep detailed, accurate notes on work performed for internal auditing and client information
Qualifications
Local to Bakersfield
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
3-5+ years previous experience as an IT Technician working at a Managed Service Provider preferred
CompTIA, Microsoft and other industry certifications preferred
Knowledge in advanced networking configurations
In-depth knowledge of Windows Operating systems and Microsoft applications
Familiarity with Apple products and OSX environment
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Strong customer service skills
