Our products leverage a broad range of technologies, using a combination of software and hardware, to teach ultrasound to health professionals. We are a growing medical education software company that has created the easiest way to learn and teach ultrasonography, the SonoSim Ultrasound Training Solution, which overcomes long standing barriers.

    Location

    This is a hybrid position, requiring candidates to commute into SonoSim's Santa Monica office at least 2 days a week and assist in troubleshooting IT-related issues as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor and maintain internal and external systems to ensure optimal uptime.
    • Administer Active Directory (AD), Google accounts, AWS IAM, and other user accounts.
    • Maintain computer networks and systems, including software, VPN, routers, and other physical hardware.
    • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network-related issues on Linux, Mac, and Windows systems.
    • Manage VMware vSphere and other virtualization technologies.
    • Coordinate with developers to improve automation in CI/CD pipelines and manage version control systems such as Git and Perforce.
    • Implement and manage security practices to protect systems and data.
    • Perform routine backups and assist with disaster recovery planning.
    • Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Powershell, and/or Python.
    • Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization.

    Key Qualifications

    • A minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Systems Administrator with expertise in Windows and Linux systems.
    • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, AWS IAM, and VMware vSphere.
    • Proficiency in managing networking equipment and VPNs.
    • Strong knowledge of computer hardware and network troubleshooting.
    • Proficiency in managing CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins) and version control systems (Git, Perforce).
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for Linux, Mac, and Windows environments.
    • Ability to write automation scripts using Bash, Powershell, or Python.
    • Solid understanding of security practices and risk management in IT systems.
    • Excellent communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.

    Compensation

    • $85,000 - $100,000
