    Job Title: System Administrator

    Location: Colorado Springs, CO

    Position Type: Full-Time, on site

    Reports To: IT Systems Manager, Colorado Springs

    Eligibility Requirements:

    1. US Citizen

    2. Top Secret / SCI eligibility current within the past 6 years

    3. Meet access eligibility requirements of DoDM 5205.07 Volume 2

    4. Willing to submit to a polygraph

    Job Overview:

    Seeking a system administrator who will collaborate with the IT team to plan, build, maintain, and support growing infrastructure at the Colorado Springs location. Systems will vary in complexity and range across Unclassified and Classified networks, as well as systems requiring CMMC compliance for CUI. Experience in more than one field (ie Networking, Windows/Linux Servers, Cybersecurity, Encryption/Certificate Management, NIST RMF) is desired to support Enterprise activities and Nooks' customers with the goal of providing an excellent user experience while ensuring assessment and authorization requirements are met.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to researching and planning new IT projects.
    • Build and maintain systems on sensitive and classified IT networks in support of all of Nooks' customers - government and commercial - while adhering to the most stringent security protocols and requirements.
    • Ensure that STIGs, SRGs, and required configurations are applied and maintained.
    • Build and maintain enterprise systems as the infrastructure matures. Support CMMC requirements.
    • Support the creation and maintenance of POA&Ms (Plan of Action and Milestones).
    • Assist with the implementation of government approved information security procedures and plans for the operation of multiple networked systems.
    • Follow processes to ensure systems meet update requirements and minimize exposure of zero-day vulnerabilities.
    • Setup automation for systems and tasks that support it within security and customer requirements.
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation to support team efforts, compliance requirements, incident response, and disaster recovery.
    • Assist, as requested, with computer security incidents.
    • Provide support to end users. As the IT team grows and more customers move into the spaces, more team members will be added to handle an increasing amount of end user support.
    • Additional responsibilities assigned as needed.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Active TS/SCI Clearance
    • Holds a current cybersecurity certification that is compliant with IAT Level II, such as Security+
    • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
    • Experience with DoD Organizations and Government Classified IT systems
    • Experience with STIGs, SRGs, vulnerability scanners, and NIST RMF
    • Experience with implementing IT solutions with limited guidance
    • Strong communication and documentation skills
    • Be able to lift servers and other heavy IT equipment that are common
    • Experienced in more than one area listed under preferred qualifications

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work or military experience
    • Experience with COMSEC equipment
    • Experience with Certificate Authority Servers and Certificate Management
    • Experience with implementing and maintaining Windows/Linux (preferably RHEL)
    • Experience programming network equipment (routers, firewalls, switches)
    • Experience building and maintaining stable VDI
    • Experience maintaining JWICs environments
    • Experience with containerized environments in classified spaces
    • Familiarity with hypervisors in high availability environments; VMWare, Nutanix, Hyper-V
    • Familiarity with scripting or coding languages for automation
    • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and/or M365
