    About the Role:

    Aquila is seeking a Systems Application Analyst to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. We are seeking a forward-thinking Systems Application Analyst to join our team

    There are a few requirements for the position:

    • Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
    • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)

    What You'll Do:

     

    Develops and configures systems specifications that address business requirements, processes, and that fit with the company's system architecture standards. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between systems and operational requirements. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures system compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations. May act as a liaison to collaborate with other business functions to automate process system delivery and infrastructure changes.

     

    Required skills:

    •  Develop digital dashboards from raw data, ensuring that data is clean, accurate, and usable for decision-making and process optimization.
    • Analyze and improve fabrication workflows by identifying bottlenecks and implementing digital tools to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline production processes.
    • Develop and implement system integrations to connect various manufacturing systems, enabling seamless data flow and real-time insights across different stages of production.
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to continuously improve digital processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with overall production goals and objectives.
    • Work closely with fabrication engineers, IT, and production staff, to ensure successful implementation of digital systems and provide ongoing support.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in digital implementation, automation, or technology integration within a manufacturing environment.
    • Hands-on experience with the implementation and integration of digital tools in manufacturing environments.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-technology environment with an emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with specific manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, FactoryLogix, Aras Innovator, MES systems).
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

     

    Must Have:

    • 3 years Data automation experience
    • 3 years Developing digital systems
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 3 years Digital manufacturing experience
    • 3 years Experience with process maps/workflows to improve efficiencies
    • 3 years Translates Business Requirements into Technical Specifications
    • 3 years Determine Systems Specifications
    • 3 years Systems Analysis
    • 3 years Systems Configuration

    Nice to Have:

    • Lean manufacturing experience
    • ARAS Innovator
    • SAP/ERP

    Applicable Education and Professional Accreditation:

    • Degree in one of the following disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related technical discipline
    • Certification(s) in one or more of the following disciplines: Solaris administration, Red Hat, VMWare, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); CompTIA Security+; Linux Professional Institute Certification
    • Any prior military experience is a plus. They will modify the years of experience or the required Bachelor's Degree if someone has the majority of the technical skills and a military background.
