    Job Summary

    Blue Ridge Automation is seeking to fill a full-time Systems Architect. This position will be responsible for working with customers to develop scope of work and design solutions. Systems Architects solutions comprise data from digital sources and provide meaningful insights to customers. This role reports to the Director of the Factory Business Integration Unit and may have temporary direct reports during large reports.

    Position Type: Full-Time Temp-to-Hire/Direct Hire

    Location: Midwest or Remote with 50% Travel

    Pay: $90,000-$140,000

    Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

    Key Responsibilities

    Collaborate with customers and internal system engineers to design solutions focused on increasing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.

    Design, implement and support HMI/SCADA, MES, Recipe Management, Batch & Product Run tracking, ERP, and other IT/OT solutions.

    Design data analytics, data flow concepts, and data relationships optimizing solutions.

    Design error-proofing and interlocking concepts to decrease manufacturing mistakes.

    Design and integrate application solutions with manufacturing industrial solutions. (PLCs, IIOT Edge Devices, SCADA systems, etc….)

    Job Requirements

    Expert level experience in design and implementation of Factory Business Integration solutions.

    Develop and design proactive solutions architecture while designing, deploying, and assigning projects.

    Perform complex problem-solving tasks that involve reviewing information, actively detecting problems, developing and evaluating options, selecting, and implementing the best solutions.

    Ability to analysis and understand complex plant floor operations to facilitate proactive decisions by examining all available information and making timely decisions.

    Strong communication skills with clients, support channels, and vendors documenting and maintaining relationships proactively.

    Interest in staying up to date and researching new features and technologies for solution concepts.

    Build, use, and model company standards for the applicable created solutions.

    Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

    Ability to communicate effectively and work with others in a co-dev environment.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to change priorities on the fly.
