Position: IT Engineer (All Levels)
Description: CNR Technologies is looking for IT Engineers of all levels to join our dynamic team. Whether you're just starting your career or have years of experience, you’ll deliver top-notch technical support directly to our clients. Your role involves resolving a variety of technical issues and providing support through multiple channels, including onsite visits, remote assistance, and phone support. Responsibilities for All levels:
Resolving client issues such as domain, email, printing, imaging computers and laptops, account setup, and working on servers
Providing support via onsite visits, remote assistance, and phone support
Traveling to client locations for issue resolution, primarily in Woodstock and surrounding areas, with occasional travel beyond this region
Senior-Level Engineer Responsibilities:
Completing projects from start to finish
Acting as an escalation point for other engineers
Contacting vendors as needed
Learning and implementing new technologies as required
Assisting in the queue when necessary to support the team
Flexibility and willingness to adapt in a fast-paced, growing small business
Demonstrating the ability to wear many hats, change direction quickly, and push oneself forward
Prioritizing, documenting, multitasking, and working hard within a passionate IT team
Skills and Requirements for All Levels:
Any level of CompTIA certification preferred (A+, Network+, Security+ etc.)
Ability to communicate clearly with clients on technical issues, expectations, and results
Experience resolving technical issues on Windows platforms (Printers, Outlook, Office, etc.)
Willingness to work additional hours as needed
Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software is a plus
Bonus: High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
Additional Skills and Requirements for Senior-Level Engineers:
6+ years of experience with Windows systems and Networking, preferably with a variety of technologies and equipment
Ability to assist other engineers and teach as needed
Experience with Windows Server 2016 and onward (AD, DHCP, DNS, RDS, AD CS, etc.)
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, routing tables, and VPNs
Experience with firewalls (e.g., pfSense, Fortigate, Sophos, Sonicwall)
Comfortable working additional hours as needed (with potential additional compensation for after-hours work)
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, plan, and execute projects or tickets with appropriate deadlines
Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred
