    Systems Engineer
    South Metro | Contract-to-hire | $44-60/hr

    Konik is partnering with a local engineering firm that is seeking to add a Systems Engineer to their team. In this role, you will work with clients to understand their needs, define requirements for various disciplines, and do high-level system design. You will provide technical leadership on projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customers' needs.

    Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

    • Create and carry out systems engineering evaluations, and trade studies, and make implementation recommendations.
    • Convert client needs into specifications.
    • Organize and/or carry out modifications and additions to the hardware, software, and associated systems, including research, analysis, advice, configuration, installation, and testing of new hardware and software.
    • Directly supports the daily operations of developing hardware and software; responsibilities include assessing system use, monitoring reaction time, and providing primary support for identifying and fixing operational issues.
    • Participates in the planning, design, technical evaluation, and implementation of new operating systems and hardware for both new and existing system designs.
    • Provides engineering employees with technical direction, instruction, and support.

    Systems Engineer Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
    • 7+ years of experience in relevant field.
    • Strong background in overall technical system design of electromechanical products.
    • Excellent communication ability; comfortable interfacing directly with clients as well as a wide variety of internal stakeholders.
    • Ability to obtain secret security clearance and to work in an ITAR-compliant setting.
