Systems Engineer - On Site at Albuquerque, N.M.

• Perform Linux, Windows VM, and Storage installations, configurations, upgrades and patching.
• Build and maintain RHEL 7, CentOS 7, Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, as well as Windows 10, VM and Storge systems.
• Partner with application developers as well as server and network engineers.
• Create and clone processes across multiple environments.
• Support and implement multiple virtualization technologies as well as preferred experience in hosted cloud technologies.
• Write policy and system descriptions describing how multiple environments work together.
• Have experience designing and implementing solutions with an emphasis on security built in.
• Develop and apply standard configuration templates to all assigned devices, and update inventory and topology records during moves, adds, and changes.
• Coordinate with other IT team members to deliver systems and services.
• Develop virtualization roadmap and strategy for the organization, in a distributed computing enviornment.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be capable of writing proposals, acting as a vendor liaison, and making presentations to senior management.
• Review log events, operate network management applications to perform fault detection, identify performance metrics, and generate reports to support specific service level requirements.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5+ virtualization in cloud, hybrid, and hosted environments, desig and implement solutions, VMware VCP, vSphere, Cisco Hyperflex, Hyper-V, MS Windows, Networking Server and Storage core, AWS, Azure, Proven ability to multitask, interface with all level customers and stakeholders, Scripting languages to automate configuration changes (Python, PowerShell, etc.), parse log data, generate reports and detect anomalies in/on DoD/DoE enterprise software/systems.
• REQUIRED EDUCATION: BS/BA STEM Degree or Related Fields.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(s): Microsoft MCSE, Linux+, and/or CompTIA Network+, and/or RHCSA.
• _ REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Active DoE Q or TS clearance._
