Job Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist that will process all company business licenses and invoices received for payment. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with completing business licenses and account payables operations.

Success will be the result of this position's ability to • Deliver superior customer service and solutions that meet the needs of vendors and aligning with best practices for GP which yields outstanding results establishing rapport that builds trust, partnership, collaboration, and commitment to support business results • Display intense self-motivation with well-developed time management skills • Work with local municipalities to ensure all financial data and tasks are submitted in a timely manner to ensure all locations have a valid business license • Achieve and maintain a significant level of knowledge of AP/Accounting processes, methods, and procedures

Primary Role and Responsibilities • Communicates directly with local municipalities and internal leadership to ensure all necessary information is provided in a timely manner to have a valid business license. • Communicates, investigates, and follows up with local jurisdictions to provide proper documentation and payments for business licenses. • Completes payments and controls expenses by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, following the company’s policies and procedures. • Reconciles accounts by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. • Verifies discrepancies and resolves billing issues. • Generate statements and reports detailing the accounts payable status. • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal IDs, scheduling and preparing checks, and reviewing payment discrepancies. • Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports. • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting transactions. • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential. • Other duties as assigned Essential Competencies • Communications Skills: Demonstrates excellence in written and verbal communication • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to relate with others and exchange ideas, thoughts, and concepts in a professional manner • Customer Focus: Makes customers and their needs a primary focus on one's actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships • Leading by Example: Consistently reflects passion for strategic and cultural change, maximizing effectiveness and achieving business goals • Analytical Skills: Obtaining, synthesizing, and reporting data

Job Requirements • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles. • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets (Excel). • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus. • Previous accounts payable experience preferred. • Well-developed planning, analytical and problem-solving skills • Successful track record of effective sales techniques • Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team What’s in it for you • Competitive base pay • Medical, dental and vision benefits • 401K Plan • Generous paid time-off programs • Phone service discounts • Serious growth potential for your career
