    Technical Sales support that works independently from an office based within the employee’s home. Our duties include sales and basic marketing, maintaining existing business, cultivating new opportunities, and calling on OEM and distributor accounts.

    Most of the business is done by distributors however there is a growing need for identifying project-based opportunities where products are specified into the finished system. Employee works closely with and provides basic management of independent representative firms used by the company to supplement sales and marketing within the territory.

    Establishes sales plan to meet objectives within the territory on a quarterly basis, and creates a basic weekly action plan to achieve sales quotas. Employee contributes regional sales information and recommendations so these can be added to overall company strategic plans, resolve problems, identify trends, review competitive products, and participate in regional and national trade show events.

    The employee updates overall job and industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks on an ongoing basis.

    Travel within the territory comprises 50% or more of monthly duties.

    The employee reports to the company President, who is based on the West Coast and maintains an office at the company headquarters in San Jose, California. Internal support is provided for technical and office administration duties.

    The company provides laptops with internet access and reimburses for cell phone use, as each of these electronic devices aids the employee in performing their day-to-day job functions. A car allowance is paid to the employee for the use of the employee’s personal vehicle to carry out company-related job functions.

    Job Duties:

    · Visit OEM, End-Users including current users

    · Evaluate territory performance & identify and close target markets and new business opportunities

    · Develop & implement a territory sales plan

    · Manage national & regional accounts

    · Maintain and develop customer database

    · Work closely with distribution partners and provide promo monthly

    · Participate in the development of marketing materials and support of product promotion through advertising, trade shows and general public relations

    · Provide product feedback, growth estimates, new product needs & recommendations to corporate R&D

    · Develop Independent Sales Reps & Distributors

    · Provide technical and other support

    Required Skills

    · Ability to work independently in a sales and technical capacity

    · Sharp presentation skills with excellent verbal & written communication skills

    · Ability to travel within territory extensively

    · Ability to work in a multi-cultural, team-oriented environment

    · Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

    · Demonstrate new business closing skills

    Required Experience

    · Sales experience for Industrial sensors

    · Five or more years of sales experience in the industrial field

    · Basic electrical or industrial sensor knowledge

    · Technical solution-based selling along with management-level selling

    · Selling to end-user and or distribution marketplace

    Job Location:

    Remote Home Office based in employees’ home ( MI, WI, IN, IL,OH,KY)

    Territory:

    Mid-West and East Coast of the United States

    Position Type:

    Salary:

    Base Annual $80,000

    Plus, sales commission
