Linkitall (LIA) is seeking an experienced TEAP Substance Abuse Specialist to provide prevention, education, assessment, intervention, and referral services to students at the Centennial Job Corps Center. LIA is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that links the expertise of human resources with the functionality of leading-edge technology to deliver mission-centric professional services.
Position: TEAP Substance Abuse Specialist
Location: Nampa, ID
Position Type: Part-Time
Responsibilities:
Prevention & Education:
Conduct a mandatory one-hour substance use prevention orientation for all new students.
Deliver educational sessions on substance abuse management in the workplace.
Organize at least three annual center-wide substance use prevention events.
Collaborate with residential, recreation, and student programs to integrate prevention efforts.
Assessment & Intervention:
Review student intake assessments for early risk identification.
Administer formalized assessments (e.g., SASSI3, SASSIA2) for substance use risk.
Provide individual and group intervention services for students at risk.
Coordinate with the Center Mental Health Consultant on co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.
Refer students to off-center substance abuse treatment programs when needed.
Drug & Alcohol Testing & Compliance:
Oversee mandatory drug testing for all new students within 48 hours of arrival.
Conduct reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as needed.
Ensure proper chain-of-custody drug testing procedures are followed.
Notify students of positive test results and implement intervention strategies.
Requirements:
Must hold an active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification that meets Idaho state requirements.
Must provide a valid DEA license (if applicable).
Previous experience working with adolescents and young adults, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Experience in schools, colleges, correctional institutions, military settings, or similar environments is preferred.
