    We are seeking a Senior Immigration Paralegal who is a Spanish speaking individual who is passionate, talented, and has at least 3 or more years of immigration law experience focused in USCIS case management.

    This individual MUST be Fluent in Spanish and English.

    This individual should have the capacity to manage a reasonable USCIS case load and have strong knowledge of immigration law and EOIR case type processes is a plus.

    Job Qualifications and Competencies

    • Must be able to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently is REQUIRED
    • 3 - years of Immigration experience is Required, 3-5 or more years of Experience is preferred
    • Focused in EOIR case management, with strong knowledge of USCIS cases and immigration law
    • Ability to take initiative and problem solve
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent phone skills
    • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Interpersonal skills and customer service skills required
    • Ability to type at least 45 wpm
    • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, internet proficient
    • Ability to occasionally lift large case files of an excess weight of 25 Lbs.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
    • Reliable transportation -Ability to travel to Van Nuys Office 1 day a week or as needed

    Job Description

    Case management- efficiently file and resolve issues

    Case review & analysis for eligibility and inadmissibility bars for cases assigned

    File maintenance to be certain up to date information, organized and client satisfied

    Timely instruct and collect required document for relief sought

    Efficient communication with supervisor & Attorneys regarding issues

    Accurately preparation of filing applications with supporting documents

    Keep up to day with new/updates with immigration laws and forms instructions

    Gather and present case summaries or any issues identified

    Timely Answering and respond Client questions and communications

    Register, organize and file file/case correspondence from the government and clients

    Calendar / time management

    Data entry and data maintenance in Company Software CMaS

    Ability and hand dexterity to type at least 45 wpm

    Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, internet proficient

    Ability to occasionally lift large case files of an excess weight of 25 Lbs.

    Work 1 Saturday per month as needed

    Other case management related tasks to assist office as a team player

    Work with Office Coordinator to help assist case managers in USCIS department

    Task and oversee Case Assistants in the USCIS Dept.

    Review USCIS cases 1st, then collaborate with Silvia and Attorneys

    Collaborate and Coordinate with Supervisor and Van Nuys department when needed, at least once a week, to resolve issues and establish best practices/policy

    Take Client calls/complaints as Senior Paralegal when needed for USCIS

    Clean up checklist templates/ cover letters to gov and clients communications, in charge of USCIS DB contents to maintain up to date

    Manage Calendar, Deadlines/ RFE’s, IV’s Appointments and Track & assure meet Deadlines

    Train employees as needed

    Create file/task/ case lists for Department and share with Office Coordinator and manager and communicate progress and any issues

    Meet with individual caseworkers to review their tasks and set weekly or biweekly goals

    Organize and facilitate department meetings to review calendar, task list, deadline and establish USCIS Dept Policies as needed.

    Train on new updated USCIS procedures as needed.

    Assist with maintaining and updating procedures as needed

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
