    WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR AN PARALEGAL / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (PART TIME).

    Work hours are approximately 24+ hours per week at our East Brunswick office location.

    We are looking for a PT assistant, 8-hours a day for 3-days per week.

    Will also consider candidates who wish to work 4-days per week.

    NATURE OF THE PRACTICE:

    Our law practice concentrates in helping disabled individuals obtain social security disability benefits so that they can pay for life’s necessities, such as food and shelter, during a difficult time in their life when they cannot work due to their medical conditions.

    SALARY:

    Payment is $20/hr.

    JOB DUTIES:

    Collections support

    Assist with litigation and motion practice with respect to collection of legal fees

    Prepare motions for legal fees and/or stipulations of settlement regarding fees

    Follow up regarding unpaid fees

    Follow up with other attorneys for additional information needed to assist with our ability to collect legal fees

    Manage database of cases where we need consistent follow up and tracking in order to ensure timely payment of fees

    Possible training in other aspects of handling social security disability cases at the administrative and federal levels of appeal

    Any other work as requested by the Attorneys and Paralegals

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A qualified potential applicant must be a fast learner, who can work independently, and who is efficient and detail oriented. Proficiency in typing is also necessary.

    -Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant, with experience in a law firm a big plus (but not required)

    -Excellent typing and grammar skills-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

    -Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work under pressure to meet deadlines

    -Must be able to work in a team environment-Strong work ethic, highly productive, always looking to do more

    -Must be very friendly and outgoing and have fantastic customer service skills

    The right candidate should have experience in administrative areas such as front desk/reception, back-office support, ability to troubleshoot, people skills, a general understanding of workflows, and the ability to work under pressure. Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

    Will train the right candidates.
