Under direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the employee will be required to maintain the Church property at 1551 West 95 th Street, the adjacent parking lot, and the Heritage Plaza property located at 1500, 1508, and 1510 West 95 th Street. Primary responsibility will be the cleaning and upkeep of both properties. Maintenance of the properties includes but is not limited to, cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, reasonable lifting, transporting of required items for various functions (i.e., tables, chairs, etc.), set-up and break down for various functions, disposal of garbage, window washing, snow shoveling, weed pulling, and other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: Individuals must have reading, writing, basic math skills, and reasonable intellect to satisfy the required responsibilities of the position. Experience in maintenance work is preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours.
Other Position Requirements: Retrieve and dispose of debris on the roofs of the Church and Heritage Plaza Clean the alley adjacent to the Heritage Plaza Set up and/or arrange chairs, tables, place settings, etc., within the Heritage Plaza Bethune, Robinson, King/VIP or other rooms, the parking lot, or other areas as determined by the Facility/Maintenance Supervisor. Accommodate Church and Heritage Plaza clients with requests during hours of rental that will provide reasonable levels of comfort, i.e., heat, air-conditioning, ventilation, spot sweeping, mopping, etc., as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
