The Welder is responsiblefor welding high-precision metal components of various sizes and complexity.
Complete welding of prefabricated assemblies
Fabricate and weld complex assemblies from a blueprint
Setup welding machines unassisted for any process or material thickness
Visually inspect completed welds for size and quality
Read/Interpret blueprints
Participate in shop cleanup activities
Use job routers to log time
Operate within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System
All other duties as assigned
Has the obligation to be aware of and comply with environmental safety policies and regulations and always endures duties of high-quality standards
Job Requirements
2-5 years of TIG and MIG welding experience required for aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel
Read and understand WPS (welding procedure specification)
Use levels, squares, chalk line, angle finder, and other fabrication tools
Read a tape measure and interpret fractions
Use basic hand tools (grinders, hammer, level)
Ability to work effectively with limited to no supervision
Ability to communicate verbally
Excellent time management skills
Willingness to adapt and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards or controls
Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
Occasionally required to walk, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Hours: This job requires occasional overtime, which may change to meet our business's needs
First shift: Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm
Break/Lunch:30 minutes lunch, plus two 15-minute breaks, to be determined by manager.
