    Summary

    The main function of a quality technician is to inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications

    • Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required

    • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications

    • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded

    • Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.

    • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

    • Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results

    Skills:

    • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

    • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

    Necessary Skills and Attributes

    • Work generally performed in an office, lab, warehouse, or user environment.

    • High level of visual acuity, numeric/character distinction and moderate color distinction for accurate test equipment operation, for information analysis and error recognition. High hand/finger dexterity with fine motor coordination skills to perform electronic component repair work

    • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with electronic component test, assembly and repair work including test equipment, testing devices, technician hand tools, cables, etc; first aid kit is available and prescription safety glasses are required in certain test areas

    • May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

    **Background/Requirements:


    **

    • English (Korean is plus)

    • **Associate Degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or Analytics
      **

    • **At least two year experience with selection, maintenance and application of electronic and test equipment (spectrum analyzers, X-Ray, CT, Digital microscope) preferred
      **

    • **Prior experience in the mobile industry preferred. Strong Project Management skills and the ability to prioritize in a complex working environment. Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications operating in a Windows XP or NT LAN/WAN environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
      **

    • **The ability to development and maintain excellent working relationships with multiples levels within the company and with external contacts including customers, authorized service agents, sales & equipment service representatives, etc.
      **

    • **Must be able to influence others in acceptance, approval and to provide technical clarification
      **

    • **The ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.
      **
