Job Description
Tosoh America, Inc. serves as the parent and holding company to the 6 US subsidiaries of Tosoh Corporation and provides Human Resources, Financial/Accounting, and Information Technology support services to the North American companies collectively known as Tosoh Group America.
Our group of companies are engaged in advanced technology fields ranging from the manufacture and sale of semiconductor and solar materials, to the sale of medical diagnostic instruments, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and bio-separation media, and a wide range of other chemicals and advanced materials. Tosoh America, Inc. desires to engage a candidate for an opportunity to assist in developing and maintaining IT and business applications. This candidate should be able to design and code functional programs and applications using Visual Studio and C#. This candidate must be familiar with a variety of operating systems and platforms as well as have experience with all phases of the Software Development Cycle and can teach it to others. The ideal candidate will also have an analytical mindset, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to positively interact with the business and management.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interact with the business to understand requirements and how they translate into application features
• Evaluate the current application environment and help to architect better solutions
• Collaborate with the business and IT to set specifications for upgrading/modifying current applications
• Leverage and roadmap new capabilities through SAAS/Cloud applications
• Configuration and integration of SAAS/Cloud applications with legacy systems
• Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
• Perform unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing before launch
• Conduct both functional and non-functional testing
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update or add new features
• Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately describe created/modified code
EDUCATION
• BS/BA in computer science / relevant field

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Proven experience as a lead application developer; should have solid experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proven experience in designing, building, and modifying applications
• Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
• In-depth knowledge of programming using Visual Studio
• Ability to program in C# programming language as well as managing / migrating VB6 code
• Experience in Source control products, especially Visual SourceSafe and Team Foundation Server
• Salesfore, IQVIA, and IFS Technical configuration knowledge a plus
• Experience with COM+ objects – how to support and migrate
• Experience with webservices (JSON / REST / XML)
• Experience with writing for cloud services, especially Azure
• Experience in SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS
• Experience with SQLServer and PL/SQL database troubleshooting / modification / design
• Experience with creating/modifying Crystal Reports
• Experience working support tickets in a IT ticketing system
• Experience with ERP integrations desired (ideally IFS)
• Experience with connectivity to manufacturing machines (SPC) desired
• Former manufacturing expertise desired
• A team player with excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Great attention to detail and time-management skills
• Excellent understanding of Information Technology
• Excellent understanding of hardware and software
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications, Sharepoint, Teams
