The Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages is looking for two student research assistants who will work with department faculty. Duties will include (but are not limited to) library and online research, copy-editing, and formatting text. The person should be familiar with or open to learning how to work with microfiche and microfilm and how to do archival research. This position is open to Communication majors and minors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must have completed Composition I and Composition II and have a GPA of at least 2.5. Applicants should have excellent computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; have good oral and written communication skills; organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Also, applicant must be able to answer the phone in a clear, professional manner and adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality. The successful candidate must be punctual, reliable, and have a positive attitude.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred classification of Sophomore, Junior or Senior with knowledge of campus and campus activities.
