WE ARE SEEKING A SYSTEM ANALYST TO JOIN OUR TEAM!
In this role you will examine the company’s information systems to propose and implement solutions that will ensure systems are functioning as effectively and efficiently as possible.
This role demands a need for accuracy, logic and the ability to communicate complex ideas to others and is responsible for researching and evaluating solutions, costs and benefits of new programs or processes, in order to meet business needs. Due to the nature of this position, the System Analyst will often be required to work outside standard business hours to oversee upgrades or fixes to ensure minimal interruption to day to day business as usual.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide functional and operational support for Oracle EBS R12 and other business operation systems
- Work with vendors to resolve issues on product selling app and website platforms
- Participate in Oracle EBS R12 application maintenance activities and production support
- Manage Avalara sales tax maintenance and management
- Drive business architecture design and process, capability roadmap development and strategy development
- Define and document business functions and processes
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in proposal preparation to develop new systems and/or operational changes
- Analyze the feasibility of and develop functional requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems
- Lead system documentation development that includes flow charts, workflow tables, mapping documents, integration specifications and provides system training
- Advocate for technical opportunities that will enhance the end-user experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in IT, computer science, or other related fields
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and routing
- Ability to evaluate software systems
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Business or related disciplines
- 4 years uninterrupted work experience
- Experienced in Oracle Development Tools, XML, PL/SQL, Workflow and Java is a plus
- Working implementation experience with Oracle Finance, Distribution or Manufacturing modules
- Experienced in API development for connecting Oracle EBS with app and website digital platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization
- High level analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems
- Organization and planning skills with the ability to manage priorities and commitments in a productive manner
- Ability to troubleshoot, solve, and escalate technical problems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Requires the ability to work in a fast past, rapidly changing environment
- Able to work in environment with carpet samples and or carpet dust
