Job Description
As a Tailor & Uniform Attendant, your responsibility is to receive, sort, distribute, and alter uniforms to team members, while coordinating the guest laundry and dry cleaning. The pride you take in ensuring all tasks are executed accurately and in a timely manner will drive guest and employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
Create a welcoming atmosphere for employees and guests
Maintain a high level of professionalism in all aspects of job performance
Responsible for processing all employee's uniforms and dry cleaning
Prepare, count and send out the uniforms and employee clothing daily for laundering/dry cleaning
Maintain Uniform Inventories through InvoTech of all departments and communicate needs to department managers via email
Register employees on Invotech, maintain and update Invotech employee records
Perform Uniform Inventories quarterly
Maintain Uniform manifest, organized with accurate information at all times
Tracking with computer system all uniforms that we hand out to the employees
Keeping the uniform area clean and organized
Manage guest laundry (record, count, verify, inspect, deliver and post charges)
Communicate with guests any laundry issues
Place appropriate uniforms on conveyor belt when received from the outside company.
Manage in-house uniforms, maintain proper records and uniforms in out for on boarding and leaving colleagues.
Communicate with relevant departments to raise uniforms fittings, sizing and adjustment when required.
Tailor the uniforms as needed for new hires and for occasional adjustments.
Attend to small repairs of employee uniforms
Work closely with laundry vendors for collection and delivery timing.
Assist guests in last-minute requests for cloth laundering with in-house equipment, and pressing or steaming of clothing items.
Maintain equipment in a proper state of cleanliness.
Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
File and sort through invoices.
Able to multitask, able to take on different projects and tasks assigned by superiors.
Maintain established cleaning/cleanliness procedures
Follow department standards as well as assist in implementing new procedures for continuous improvement
Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
Maintain all brand and quality luxury service standards
Maintain consistency in accordance to Forbes/LQA and Fairmont standards
Conduct self-audits of standards and participate in the feedback review of audits.
Approach all encounters with colleagues in a professional and personalized manner
Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times and that all colleagues are committed to working safely
Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including wearing appropriate PPE
Comply with hotel security, fire, health and safety regulations
Maintain all uniform department areas organized and well presented
Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items in a timely manner according to established procedures.
Report any faulty equipment, maintenance needs, safety hazards and other problems immediately to your supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness of the uniform room
