Delta Utilities is seeking a dynamic talent acquisition specialist to support in managing the full-cycle recruitment process. This role is a full-time position based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
This individual will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and engaging top talent to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support strategic workforce initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, develop job descriptions, and post open positions
- Actively source candidates through online channels, professional networks, job fairs, and other recruitment avenues to maintain a strong candidate pipeline
- Manage the recruitment process from initial outreach and screening through interviews and reference checks
- Ensure a positive experience by maintaining timely communication and providing feedback
- Assist with recruitment events, career fairs, and community engagement initiatives to promote Delta Utilities
- Use data and metrics to inform decisions, track recruitment performance, and recommend improvements in sourcing and recruitment strategies
- Partner with HR and hiring managers to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals, values, and diversity initiatives
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a team-oriented approach
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with job boards and social media recruiting tools
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Ability to conduct and lead interviews, guide hiring managers through best practices in interviewing, and contribute to strategic talent planning initiative, based on experience
Experience Levels
- Level I: one to two years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with a basic understanding of the recruiting process and applicant tracking systems
- Level II: two to four years of recruitment experience, including full-cycle recruiting and proactive sourcing skills with the ability to work independently with hiring managers and stay current on recruitment trends and best practices
- Level III: Four or more years of experience in strategic recruitment, including advanced sourcing techniques, strong relationship-building skills, and experience in mentoring junior recruiters with the ability to lead key recruiting projects, including diversity initiatives and employer branding strategies

Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, the utility will serve nearly 600,000 customers and become one of the leading natural gas providers in Louisiana and Mississippi and among the top 40 providers in the United States.
In 2023, Entergy announced that it had entered into an agreement with Delta Utilities to sell its Louisiana gas distribution business. The natural gas utility currently serves more than 200,000 customers across East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes. In February 2024, Delta Utilities entered into an agreement with CenterPoint Energy to acquire its Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas businesses, which currently serve approximately 381,000 customers. Once the transactions are complete, Entergy's Louisiana natural gas operations and CenterPoint Energy's Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas systems will be operated by Delta Utilities.
