Power Generation Project Engineer
JOB SUMMARY: This position is generally responsible for overseeing the electrical, and mechanical services to rotating equipment at customers site operating a wide range of original equipment from various OEMs. A desired familiarity with ABB, Alstom, Brush, GE, Siemens, and Westinghouse, and other OEM motors and generators. Experience with generator high voltage testing such as winding resistance, insulation resistance, polarization index, DC leakage and high potential testing, wedge tightness, EL CID testing, end winding frequency response test, and rotor testing.
Required Skills
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of field service experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 5 – 7 years of hands on field service experience in generator winding maintenance.
Switchgear, Power Generation, Utility infrastructure projects, Data Centers and Enclosures, and Controls & Automation familiarity or experience preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and proficiency in testing software such as WTD 501, ELAN, and SDC003 a plus. Proficiency in computer aided drawing programs such as Autocad and Solidworks a plus.
Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, must be able to work within the United States of America and must have a valid passport and be willing and able to travel abroad.
