    WHO WE ARE:

     

    Here at Tandem, Diabetes is all we do. Tandem has created the simple-to-use t:slim X2 Insulin Pump with Basal IQ technology. Designed, assembled and supported from our San Diego, CA headquarters, the t:slim X2 with Basal IQ is the only color, touch-screen insulin pump that is capable of remote feature updates, has a predictive low glucose suspend (PLGS) feature to help reduce the frequency and duration of low glucose events, and offers compatibility with continuous glucose monitoring.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

    • Scheduling and delivering pump training in the assigned Territory for patients, customers, and health care professionals (Clinical Diabetes Educators, Endocrinologists).
    • Providing continuing education to providers on patient use of insulin pump therapy and special considerations related to pump therapy in the marketplace.
    • Conducting educational classes that support diabetes education in relation to insulin pump therapy and other advanced diabetes management skills.
    • Interacting with National Director, Clinical Education for guidance on technical and training issues.
    • Co-developing successful strategies with assigned Territory Manager to address clinical concerns in the sales territory.
    • Effectively promoting Tandem’s unique market position, approach and value to the prospect (e.g., ability to integrate/coordinate with providers, impact on claims or other outcomes, differentiation from competitors).
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

     

    WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION:

     

    • BSN preferred.
    • Certified Diabetes Educator preferred (CDE eligibility required!)
    • RN, RD or Rph or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience
    • Continuing education on patient education on the technical use of insulin pump therapy and special considerations related to pump therapy in the marketplace
    • 2 years clinical diabetes experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education programs to patients, physicians, and health care professionals.
    • 1 year related industry experience preferred in one of the following areas: diabetes, endocrinology. (Example: blood glucose meter but not insulin infusion)
    • Ability to travel at least 80% in your assigned territory; must maintain a valid drivers license and required auto insurance as well as a good driving record, per company policy.
