    Our client, located in Perkasie, PA, provides business and personal tax preparation services to clients throughout the tri-state area with a focus upon professionalism, responsiveness, and quality. They are seeking a tax accountant or Enrolled Agent to join their team January through April for seasonal support. The tax accountant will serve the needs of clients by providing expert quality tax, accounting, and advisory services.

    This is a temporary, seasonal position located in Perkasie, PA.

    A CPA designation is not required; those with tax experience, including Enrolled Agents, are encouraged to apply.

    Essential Responsibilities Include:
    1. Planning and executing client engagements as assigned, preparing work from start to finish independently and being accountable for the efficiency and accuracy of all work performed.
    2. Tax planning and preparation of individuals, corporate, and partnership tax returns. Provide tax services using Thomson Reuters UltraTax for Forms 706, 709, 990 series, 1040, 1041,1065, 1120 series, and multi-state and local returns, with Thomson Reuters accounting product integration.
    3. Review work papers and tax forms in preparation for release to clients. Conduct research as may be required.
    4. Analysis of all asset, liability, and operating activity for various clients; ability to recommend necessary modifications as warranted.
    5. Support the recording of financial transactions & maintaining of general ledgers; reconcile financial discrepancies.
    6. Prepare adjusting journal entries; assist clients in maintaining general ledgers; post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
    7. Summarize current financial position: prepare, analyze & explain balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports.
    8. Forecast revenue, analyze profit margins, and make budget/financial recommendations.
    9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and best-in-class services.

    Highly qualified candidates will possess most of the following:

    1. Bachelor's degree in accounting. EA or CPA designation a plus but not required.
    2. Minimum of 5 years of previous tax experience in a public accounting firm environment strongly preferred.
    3. Keen understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
    4. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to pivot between multiple tools in the company's tech stack.
    5. Experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other accounting & bookkeeping software programs. QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus but not required.
    6. Experience in UltraTax or other tax software required.
    7. An interest in providing a best-in-class client experience with the ability to communicate in an efficient, friendly, and helpful manner.
