Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will document the company’s financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and ensure that the company is tax compliant with the most up to date rules and regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting. Candidate must be knowledgable about the tax codes and laws in the State of California for C-Corp and S-Corp, and preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with companies that provide services in construction.
Responsibilities
Enter financial data and transactions
Analyze budgets and other financial information
Reconcile bank statements
Prepare financial reports and statements
Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Create accounting policies to comply with all rules and regulations
Qualifications
Candidate must posses a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field at minimum
Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Knowledge of Federal and California State tax laws
Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
