Position Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of US, International, State and Local income tax filings including estimates, returns, and quarterly projections

• Assist with the timely, accurate, and complete compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, judicial decisions, and administrative pronouncements.

• Assists with the preparation, review, and documentation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision, including the identification and calculation of permanent book/tax differences, discrete items, deferred income taxes, uncertain tax positions, and valuation allowances

• Support in connection with special projects as needed by the tax department.

• Respond to notices and assists with Federal, State, and Foreign tax audits or examinations, including anticipating auditor’s requests, preparation of documents and support for returns, and researching audit issues.

• Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

• Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelors and/or Masters in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation

• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

• Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in navigating Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills; flexible and adaptable team player capable of multi-tasking; and delivers high quality work

Work Environment:

• Hybrid: must be local to Akron, Ohio for the duration of the internship.

• Fulltime time opportunity (40 hours) May-August 2025.

The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour . Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
