We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in a client-facing role to oversee all client-related tax and accounting matters to ensure we continue delivering the ultimate client experience. The successful candidate will be a personable and approachable professional, tasked with overseeing all tax-related functions within the organization. Responsibilities include client consultations, managing a team of tax preparers and administrative staff, and proficiently using software such as Lacerte Tax, QBO, and TaxDome. There is an opportunity for the Tax Manager to collaborate with the CEO in hiring an additional senior tax associate to support the upcoming tax season. Additional Benefits • Competitive Bonus Structure • Exceptional Company Culture • Ongoing Training & Education • 401(k) matching • Paid time off • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage Responsibilities: • Evaluate tax returns completed by team members and offer guidance and support when necessary • Discover ways to explore opportunities and craft innovative strategies that effectively reduce client tax liabilities • Conduct tax research on client situations as needed • Take charge of organizing and conducting tax audits with the IRS, California Franchise Tax Board, and any other necessary agencies • Understand and navigate our one-of-a-kind process • Make sure to update the team on any new tax laws when necessary Qualifications: • Must have CPA or EA license • At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation required • Must have A solid understanding of Lacerte • Being able to interact with clients and hold appointments is essential • Effective communication abilities combined with sharp analytical skills • A solid understanding of QuickBooks Online (QBO) is highly desirable • Experience with TaxDome is a plus Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000 yearly
