    A prestigious investment firm seeks a Tax Manager to join their dynamic team.

     

    The Tax Manager provides essential tax administrative and operational support, enhancing the team’s organization and efficiency. The Tax manager will support the Director of Tax in all tax-related aspects of the firm ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with tax compliance and reporting, coordinating with external advisors and facilitating with the distribution of K-1s and other investor tax deliverables. By streamlining daily tasks and processes, the Tax Manager allows the Director of Tax to lead core responsibilities and larger company goals.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Work with external tax accountants to review and file federal, state, and other returns including processing tax payments
    • Liaise with Fund Administrations and Director of Tax to perform tax withholding analysis on distributions
    • Collaborate with the Investor Relations team to address investor-related tax questions
    • Review taxable income estimates and review tax distribution calculations
    • Receive, assess, and facilitate federal and state tax regulatory notices with 3rd party advisors
    • Work with Fund and external tax accountants to report annual 1099s and 1042s
    • Review Schedule K-1s/tax returns for reporting accuracy before disseminating and filing
    • Maintain recordkeeping and documentation of tax filings in accordance with tax policy

     

     

    Qualifications

    • 5 years of income tax compliance and financial reporting experience and/or combination of large public accounting firm and private equity internal tax department
    • Experience managing relationships with external advisors
    • Ability to prioritize and communicate workloads to ensure tasks are completed timely
    • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
    • High level of discretion in handling sensitive information
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
