    New Gig Solutions is excited to partner with one of our valued clients to find an experienced Tax Manager  to lead their tax services department! This client is a leader in business strategy and development, tax-free retirement education, and non-profit charitable giving.     As a Tax Manager , you will play a key leadership role in managing the tax services department, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and developing strategic tax planning initiatives for clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax-free strategies, particularly in the context of investments and entrepreneurial ventures, and will be adept at navigating the complexities of self-directed IRAs and ROBS structures. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to managing tax-related matters to support the financial goals of the company’s clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the tax department.
    • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
    • Develop and implement strategic tax planning to minimize liabilities and maximize financial benefits.
    • Identify and mitigate tax risks for clients, providing clear and strategic guidance.
    • Manage and coordinate tax accounting staff and assess their performance.
    • Improve processes by developing and implementing best practices.
    • Manage and coordinate tax audits, providing expertise throughout the process.
    • Prepare all tax-related documentation and handle data requests.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Support various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
    • Lead and mentor tax team members, providing training and guidance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification required.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a tax management or public accounting role.
    • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and corporate tax procedures.
    • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
    • Experience with tax operations and the ability to drive process improvements.
    • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
    • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Compensation
    $125,000-$170,000 per year
