Job Title: Tax Preparer (Contract)

New Gig Solutions is partnering with a client in Spokane, WA, to find an experienced Tax Preparer to support their team during the busy tax season. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with tax preparation experience to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual and business tax returns (e.g., 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065) accurately and efficiently.
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Conduct tax research and resolve issues related to client tax matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather required information and answer questions.
• Assist with other tax-related duties as needed during the busy season.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of tax preparation experience.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus but not required.
