As a Tax Resolution Professional at Jackson Hewitt, you will be an integral part of growing national business to help clients resolve their tax issues with the IRS.
The TR Licensed Tax Professional will work TR team members, the IRS, and state taxing authorities to resolve clients’ tax problems.
What you'll do here:
Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and determine the best course of action to resolve client tax issues.
Consult with TR team members and provide tax problem solving solutions for our clients
Regularly collaborate with team members to assist with client consultations and resolve client tax issues
Articulate needs to our clients to resolve their tax issues
Document and update team members on important client resolution actions including status updates, and needed information with your clients
Set up plans to resolve client issues by evaluating client facts, options, setting a plan, aligning the plan with the client’s needs
Draft solution-oriented recommendations, strategies and arguments addressing specific clients’ tax issues on a consistent basis.
Manage assigned clients and priorities, and work with other team members to resolve client issues
Skills you’ll bring for success:
Licensed to practice before the IRS (Enrolled Agent, Tax Attorney, CPA).
2+ years of experience representing clients before the IRS to include:
CP2000 Exam responses & reconsideration requests
Audit assistance
Collection agreement representation with forms 433A and 433F preparation.
Tax preparation experience for individual taxpayers. Business tax preparation experience a plus.
Strong understanding of tax problems and solutions.
Professional, service-minded demeanor.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, written, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage caseload effectively.
Strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated and adaptable to change.
Proficient and comfortable with computers and software applications.
