Tax & Accounting Senior Associate

The Position: We are a specialty division within the firm of the client, dedicated to providing financial services in the areas of business operations management, tax, bankruptcy, trust, and probate accounting, valuation, and litigation support services. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking initiative-taking collaborators with two plus years of public accounting experience, preferably with an emphasis on general accounting and tax preparation.

Responsibilities:
- The perfect candidate will enjoy learning about different industries, competitive markets, and specialized practice areas, such as trust, bankruptcy, business operations management, and litigation support. Possessing foundational knowledge of tax preparation and general accounting are required for success.
- Preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, LLC, trusts, and bankruptcy tax returns.
- Preparation of client monthly accounting and financial statements.
- Analysis of financial data and preparation of reports in conjunction with forensic accounting, bankruptcy, and litigation support work.
- Operations management analysis and consulting.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Two plus years tax and accounting experience with a public accounting firm.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
- CPA license or on track to obtain the CPA license.
- Strong work ethic with ability to comprehend complex accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Analytical thinker, who can identify (both technical and non-technical) issues and resolve them with little oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and/or experience with additional accounting software programs which can include, but not limited to; Zero, Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com or Concur.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish or second language an advantage.
- Holds a current and valid CPA’s license, or equivalent.
