                    Taylor & Moran, CPA has been helping businesses and individuals in Southeast Michigan and beyond since 1982.  Our team focuses on positive and professional communication with clients to assess and assist with achieving their goals.  With locations in Flint Township, Troy, and Charlotte, NC, we serve a broad range of industries and individuals.  As our firm expands there are many growth opportunities for staff. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES --

    • Prepare complex federal, multi-state, and local individual, trust, partnership, and S & C corporation income tax returns.
    • Perform general ledger functions and the month-end close process.
    • Calculate and prepare sales and use tax returns.
    • Support clients’ accounting staff with training and troubleshooting.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through quality and timely service and communication.
    • Provide accounting consulting to business clients.
    • Assist with attest engagements (audits, reviews, and compilations).

    REQUIREMENTS --

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting and minimum 0-3 years in public or industry accounting experience.
    • Experience with business and individual income taxation.
    • Working toward or recently obtained valid Michigan Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
    • Experience using accounting and tax software packages.
    • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
    • Preferred: QuickBooks, Thomson Reuters CS Suite.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to follow instructions, including a strong adherence to meeting deadlines.
    • Excellent work ethic and positive attitude.
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
    • Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of reports, correspondence, and database information.
