Join the 2024-2025 iKids Instructor Cohort and implement high caliber lesson plans to 10-15 elementary students after school.
iKids Instructors teach classes like Cooking - kid-friendly recipes every week; Crafts- SPL, our most popular course, with activities based on dynamic weekly themes, STEM- inspiring experiments, intro to build & code, and strategy games like Chess and MORE!
All lesson plans and supplies are provided by the campus supervisor. iKids provides an organized teaching environment for instructors interested in developing leadership and communication skills with elementary-age students. Group teacher, child care assistant, and camp counselor experience valued.
Details:
Pay range is $15 - 16 per hour based on experience, education, and availability
Afternoons 2:30 - 5 / 6:00 PM
Instructors work 6- 12 hours per week with a variable schedule
Teaching duration is weekly thru May 2025 following elementary school calendar
Actively work in both standard indoor (classroom/school) and outdoor (playground/field) settings.
Required:
Available 3-5 weekdays for a variable schedule working 2-5 days/week
Experience with children (like camps, coaching, teaching, tutoring, workshops, child care, child development, teacher assistance, special education, child therapy, counselor, instructional assistance, substitute teaching, or baby-sitting / childcare)
Maintain a consistent, weekly teaching committment
Your own reliable vehicle that you drive (multiple work sites) and currently residing in Austin metroplex
High School Diploma or equivalent, required; some college hours preferred
Minimum age is 18 years old

Duties:
Implement and teach iKids lesson plans in various enrichment courses
Actively monitor and maintain child safety on playground, during activities and snack breaks
Provide homework assistance and engage with students
Maintain classroom management
Assist in organizing materials and a child-friendly space
Ability to lift 10 lbs and up to 30 lbs.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and parents
