Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. Responsibilities
Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate
Design a daily and weekly schedule
Provide basic care and caregiving activities
Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones
Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities
Creates developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
Reads to children and teaches them painting, drawing, crafts and songs.
Maintains a safe play environment.
Dresses children and changes diapers.
Observes and monitors children’s play activities.
Communicates with children’s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
Maintains full compliance with center infectious disease control
Performs general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and making phone calls.
Organizes Student Anecdotal and Observation Notes
Prepares and conducts child assessments
Manages classroom staff
Implements center curriculum
Attends required training
Qualifications
Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
Strong understanding of child development
Patient, kind, and nurturing
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
First aid/CPR certified
Excellent verbal and written communication
Instructing
Monitoring
Social perceptiveness
Service orientation
Must have a High School Diploma (GED Equivalent Credential) and Child Development Associate Credential or higher
