The Madrone School is a private, non-profit school that provides ABA and educational services in a full-day, year-round program for autistic students. We are looking for a teacher to join our unique model and manage educational assessments, programming, and instruction.
The students at our Woodinville campus range from 4.5 - 11 years old and receive individualized Applied Behavior Analysis therapy throughout the school day. Each student's care team consists of the Teacher, a Behavior Analyst, and a 1:1 Behavior Technician. Student instruction focuses on academics, communication, functional academics, self-management skills, social skills, leisure skills, and adaptive skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Certified Teacher in Washington State or eligible to apply
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
Responsible, hardworking, organized, and flexible
Excellent interpersonal skills and a good problem-solver
Openness to learning about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and collaborating closely with BCBAs to achieve students’ educational goals
Preferred Qualifications
Special Education Endorsement
Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
1+ years of experience teaching in a special education classroom setting
Description of Teacher Responsibilities
Develop student-specific education plans
Conduct assessments of students’ academic progress
Utilize a variety of curricula (commercial and teacher created) to address individualized educational goals
Monitor student progress; write progress reports
Plan and lead academic enrichment groups (social studies, science, math, reading, writing)
Plan and lead enrichment activities (movement, art, music, cooking, etc.)
Provide ongoing training and support to Behavior Technicians, training for staff who deliver services as necessary
Meet regularly with parents to review progress
Collaborate daily with students’ BCBAs; establish a collaborative relationship with team members
