Basic Beginnings is looking for an energetic Teacher's Assistant/Floater to join our team! As a Teacher's Assistant/Floater, you will assist the classroom teacher with classroom duties and instruction. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!

Responsibilities:

Assist students individually and in small groups

Supervise students in the classroom and elsewhere in the school

Enforce classroom rules and procedures

Communicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the Lead teacher

Must be able to bend & lift up to 40 pounds

Must be able to attend Monthly Staff Meetings

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Experience working with children

Must be a team player and communicate effectively with Parents, Children, and staff

Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledgeable of EEC Regulations

Have a positive attitude & be reliable

First Aid and CPR Certifiable

Required to maintain minimum workshop requirements

Must be able to bend & lift up to 40 pounds
