    Job Summary

    We are looking for an energetic teaching assistant to join our team! You will be assisting the head teacher with planning and implementing both whole classroom and small group instruction.

    Assistance Childcare Teacher will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. You will support the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate activities, managing daily routines, and ensuring the well-being of the children under your care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, engaging children in educational play, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and communicating with parents/guardians.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.

    Engage children in educational play experiences, including art, music, storytelling, outdoor play, and group activities, fostering their curiosity, creativity, and problem solving skills

    Support the lead teacher in creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adhere to health and safety regulations.

    Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and milestones, sharing observations with the lead teacher and parents/guardians to support individualized learning and development plans.

    Collaborate with the lead teacher and other team members to plan prepare materials, resources, and displays that enrich the learning environment.

    Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns or achievements.

    Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in early childhood education.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent (relevant early childhood education coursework or CDA credential is a plus)

    Ability to pass a state and federal background check, familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to childcare settings

    Knowledge of child development principles and age appropriate teaching methods

    Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for children

    Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from the lead teacher.

    Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes

    Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting or related environment
