    Far Out is a New Zealand Style ice cream shop based in Boston, MA. Founded in 2019, Far Out aims to bring New Zealand’s signature Real Fruit Ice Cream to the rest of the world, one cone at a time. Guests choose a fruit from a wide variety of options to be mixed with a hard scooped ice cream base, creating a made-to-order finished product which stands apart from both traditional hard scooped and soft serve ice creams. Our core focus is on enlightened hospitality and delivering the highest quality product and experience for both our customers and our teammates.     Job Description

    We are currently hiring teammates for our store at the Canalside Food Hall in Cambridge, MA. This is a customer facing role in which you prepare ice cream and beverages, help customers with ordering, and maintain cleanliness of the store.

    Far Out Teammate Responsibilities:

    Prepare ice cream and beverages according to Far Out standards and customer requests

    Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers and answering questions about our menu and offerings

    Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dipping cabinets, toppings bar, and serving area

    Restock supplies and prepare ingredients as needed

    Operate point-of-sale system and handle cash/card transactions

    Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food safety and cleanliness

    Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment

    Participate in team meetings and training sessions

    Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    One year of fast-paced food service experience (preferred)

    Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality

    Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices

    Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing

    Reliable transportation to our Cambridge location

    3 month minimum commitment
