Techline, Inc. is seeking a Risk Manager to work in the Professional Services Group. This position will develop and administer risk management programs. This person will create, modify, and manage policies and processes to comply with safety legislation and industry practices. The Risk Manager will coordinate and develop organization–wide programs for risk services.Note: This position will report in-person to our corporate office in Austin, Texas daily.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
Front-facing management of insurance and broker relationships
Liaison with broker and insurance carrier for reporting major claims and claims management
Oversee and administer bonding program
Lead planning and administration of risk and crisis management strategies
Conduct operational risk analyses and research areas of exposure to assess insurance needs
Lead and execute insurance renewals and claims management
Manage Safety program
Work with key stakeholders to inform corporate risk issues, programs, and decisions
Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational practices and processes
Champion strategy and execution of internal audit to ensure processes and procedures are consistently in compliance
Support coordination of external audits and regulatory requests
Develop operational risk management reporting and data analysis
Maintain all insurance policies, including property, casualty and handle third party property damage issues
Handle all subrogation property claims not reported to insurance carrier
Identify contract risks
Monitor insurance market dynamics and forecast market trends
Ensure legal compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations
THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL:
Display a proven track record of identifying and mitigating corporate risk.
Demonstrate ability to span between tactical execution and strategy through a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do the work in addition to thinking through the plan.
Possess impeccable attention to detail, in particular with insurance policy, claims, and contract review.
Utilize ability to learn, adapt quickly, and consistently apply critical thinking skills.
Pursue continuous improvement and be receptive to coaching from supervisor.

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Leverage proven ability to build collaborative partnerships and lead through influence.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of two years related work experience in risk management required
Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation preferred; commitment to pursuing CRM required
Experience with transportation and/or wholesale distribution industry preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct personnel supervisory responsibilities.
